Our hair transplant practice is very different:  We have been offering state-of-the-art hair transplantation services since 1989 here in beautiful, historic Saratoga Springs, New York. We offer a full range of hair replacement surgery, including corrective repairs of old work, eyebrow transplantation, hair transplants for females, and trans-gender hair transplants. While 80% of our surgeries are directed to the correction of male-pattern baldness, we take special pride in our transplantation of women patients. We perform both ultra-refined, follicular unit transplant sessions and also "combination" sessions, which feature the use of both FU grafts and MFU's (multi-follicular grafts) centrally. We use FUE (follicular unit extraction) in limited, medium-size sessions when indicated and also employ the new trichophytic closure at a patient's final donor closure.

 Over the years our practice has gained a world-wide reputation and attracted patients from almost every state in the U.S. and a large number of foreign countries. Our approach to hair transplantation for each patient is very individualized and personal. We feel that establishing a mutual trust and confidence between doctor and patient is essential in order to achieve a successful hair restoration result.

Dr. Michael Beehner, our medical director, has been performing hair transplants for 21 years and is one of the foremost leaders in teaching and research for our specialty. He is the recipient of the prestigious I.S.H.R.S. Platinum Follicle Award for research (1999) and the Manfred Lucas Lifetime Achievement Award (2007) by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the highest honor in hair transplantation. He is a past editor of the International Hair Transplant Forum, past president of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, and author of ten different chapters in a variety of hair transplant texts and over 50 journal articles.

Dr. Christopher Pawlinga joined our practice in 2006, after first completing a rigorous one year I.S.H.R.S. fellowship under Dr. Beehner. His practice has grown each year since then, as his patients appreciate his enthusiasm for hair transplant surgery and his artistic skills.
