We now offer three very different approaches to hair transplantation: The charges for the three different methods are listed below, along with their relative pro's and con's. All of the charges listed below are for a single hair transplant session.

Ultra-refined Follicular Unit Transplanting (all FU grafts).
Traditional "combination" approach (70% FU grafts and 30% multi- FU grafts)
All-FU Transplanting with limited "Frontal Core" of MFU grafts.

Other hair restoration surgery services that are available in our practice are:

I. Ultra-refined Follicular Unit

Note: If the graft # is in between the numbers above, the grafts over that category number will be charged at the lower per graft charge of the category above it. Example: If a patient elected to receive 1100 grafts, the charge would be $5000 for the first 1000 grafts at $5 per graft, and $440 for the additional 100 grafts at $4.40 per graft. Our current "supplies charge" is the only other charge in addition to the above.

III. All-FU Transplanting with MFU grafts in limited "Frontal Core" Area

Charged the same as with the Ultra-refined all-FU cases for the FU graft portion of the transplant project. The MFU grafts are charged at $6 per graft

(Again, Dr. Pawlinga's charges are 18% less than Dr. Beehner's)

Other Charges:

Supplies charge as of Jan. 1, 2008 will be $195. It is added on to all sessions.

-For most completely bald patients, hair transplantation requires 2-3, rarely 4, procedures to achieve a relatively full appearing result. For the majority of our patients, who have some existing "native" hair on top, 2 sessions usually accomplishes this.

Filling in the "Crown" (vertex) region:
We prefer to transplant the vertex (crown), the bald area that "scoops" downhill in the rear of the scalp, separately, in order to insure adequate blood supply for excellent graft survival. Depending on the size of the crown and the density desired, anywhere from 800-2000 FU grafts can be placed in this area. The charges are the same as for all-FU grafting listed above.

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

- $9 per graft (minimum charge $1500 for a procedure)

- This procedure not used as primary method for the usual patient requiring a lot of grafts to cover the top of the head, but only for special cases, such as donor scar repair and as a source of donor hair in "last resort" cases, in which there is no other donor hair available from the "safe" middle section of the back and side scalp hair. We also use FUE on the chest to obtain donor hairs in these desperate cases in which there is very little normal scalp donor hair available.

Tattoo Dots (camouflage)

- $325 for every 500 dots (min. charge $1000)

Graftcyte Kit: $145 for the whole kit. $75 for spray bottle only.

The use of this kit is entirely elective and not required. It helps shorten the time that inflammation and scabbing are visible at the graft sites.
